THE ROLE
The Digital & Graphic Design Manager will lead the creation and delivery of outstanding graphic content to support the e-Commerce and Marketing departments, ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.
This individual will work closely with the rest of the creative team and also oversee the development of visual creative assets for email marketing, presentations, branded partner social media channels, digital advertising, and paid social campaigns as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize design strategies that enhance engagement and drive conversions.
Furthermore, the Design Manager will provide lead the creative support strategy for all Real Madrid retail stores as needed, ensuring a cohesive brand experience across digital and in-store environments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Primary responsibilities for the Digital & Graphic Design Manager are:
• Oversee the consistency of all retail assets to ensure alignment with brand guidelines across all social, digital, and physical channels.
• Manage the approval process for all creative content, ensuring alignment across all teams and departments prior to any project launch.
• Lead the creation and development of digital assets for various platforms including Instagram, Facebook, banner ads, mobile apps, microsites, and seasonal digital campaigns aimed at maximizing global visibility.
• Direct the creation of print assets related to physical retail spaces, including POS materials, print advertising, and other in-store collateral.
• Oversee the creation of CRM assets, email marketing content, digital asset send-outs, and digital mailers. Collaborate with the marketing team to set up mailers as required.
• Work closely with the global Marketing team to ensure design aesthetics are aligned with both global and local marketing strategies.
• Supervise the creation of diverse print and digital materials, including interactive presentations, event collateral, custom branded content, and materials for new product launches.
• Manage the updates and formatting of digital assets for brand Shopify stores, ensuring the visual consistency of the brand online.
• Oversee the setup and release of packaging, advertising, and collateral as needed.
• Direct and execute design and usability updates for existing web-based applications and platforms.
• Manage the creation and scheduling of rolling creative content for social media, in partnership with internal and external digital teams. Provide leadership with weekly updates on key developments.
• Oversee content creation for major events, including managing photographer/video briefs and assisting in the coordination of campaigns during key seasonal moments.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on seasonal campaign shoots, ensuring seamless execution and knowledge-sharing across teams.
• Lead the design of "hot market" products for quick turnaround and immediate go-to-market campaigns, while maintaining a focus on strategy and design excellence.
• Create and maintain design templates, and assist with PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership, including the President and Marketing/Communication Teams.
• Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to support store redesigns and meet any other market needs.
• Develop and refine mock-ups for potential collaborations and product launches.
• Drive design strategies aimed at achieving targeted ROI, while ensuring the maintenance of positive KPIs for design performance.
• Lead cross-functional teams on a variety of design-driven projects, including interactive presentations, event collateral, product launches, on-demand "hot market" products, and potential collaborations.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, we are looking for an individual with the energy and desire to work in a fast-paced and multi-channel retail trading environment where they have shown strong creative and planning skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in design required; MBA or an advanced degree is preferred.
· 5 years+ of Graphic Design retail experience, either on agency or client side
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills in Spanish and English as a minimum.
· 5+ years of experience in digital and graphic design – portfolio presentation will be key.
· Experience of mobile and social marketing CTA’s and aligning design to conversion.
· Strong visual and communication skills (written & oral) and ability to quickly build strong relationships.
· Ability to work across cultures and geographies to support local design needs.
· Ability and desire to work at both the strategic and tactical levels.
· Self-starter mentality and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment – time will always be of the essence in this role.
